About Para Endurance Coaching

Para Endurance Coaching has the mission to help others achieve their athletic and wellness goals in a safe, purposeful, and healthy manner. “Para” means to “come alongside”. That is the heart of our coaching services: alongside, together, supported, encouraged, and enabled to be successful. Our athletes improve their physical abilities as well as their knowledge base in endurance sports. This fosters confidence to overcome obstacles and exceed boundaries they previously didn’t believe they could in their journey. The culmination of their athletic experience translates positively over into daily life.

Scott Bennefield is the man behind Para Endurance Coaching. He exemplifies what it means to have the ‘essentials’ as well as the ‘credentials’. As it has been said many times about vehicles, running shoes and even Indiana Jones says about himself, “it’s not the years, it’s the mileage”. Scott’s personal journey is comprised of over 40 years as a pastor; over 30 of those years in competitive endurance sport; multiple finishes at Ironman 140.6 and Ironman 70.3 distances; over a decade as a certified coach; he is a 3 time cancer survivor and recent caretaker for his daughter. These and much more authentic life endeavors have provided a rich experience of success and failure in getting to the finish line. With all this mileage of life, it has forged in him a blend of empathy, patience, competency, insight, and a little bit of wisdom needed for a healthy and prosperous coach/athlete relationship.
